01.04.2015 The Cracow Fashion Week just ended. What can we say about it from this perspective?

First of all, we had a chance to see the debut of young designers. SAPU adepts presented 38 collections during Cracow Fashion Awards, which took place on Saturday 21 March.

The most interesting of them was judged by the jury, where we had many well- known personalities from the world of fashion and the media.

High Council of Media and Tailors awarded the title of Collection of the Year for Anna Pietrowicz for the projects entitled 'No one will believe you.' As she said - 'The collection is a record of the process of finding non- obvious beauty, experiments in working with fabric and design. The main motivation for creating clothes was the emotions that leaves the film 'The great beauty' and the Japanese philosophy of 'Wasa- Bi'. In this year this debuting designer received a diploma of SAPU.

Anna Tronowska received an award of Media Council for the collection 'The score looks'. Awards and prizes also received: Marta Kapala, Joanna Organiściak- Płachta, Anna Krzepkowska, Aneta Dziatkowiec, Magdalena Eagle, Paula Fiuk, Waleria Tokarzewska- Karaszewicz and Monika Wierzchowska.

During famous gala ceremony at the Congress Centre ICE Cracow, which took place on Sunday, on 22 March, were demonstrations of 14 award- winning collection. Also, well- know designer and graduates of SAPU had the opportunity to show their projects, among others, were: Anna Pirowska (DRESSAP), Maria Mrowca (Mrovca Fashion Design), Iga Szuchiewicz (Malgrau), Anna Ziemniak and Aneta Zielińska. At the gala also were presented foreign collections: Christina Tiran i Victoria Rowley (United Kingdom, winners of the competition of Fashion Culture), Ugne Martinaityte (Lithuania, winner of the competition of Habitus Baltija), Anette Hildenbrand (Germany), Darji Donezz (Ukraine, Donets Fashion Days). At the end of the event guests had the opportunity to see the latest collection of Joanna Błażejowska- Pecorari (ASKA brand, Paris).

VI edition of Cracow Fashion Week really surprised us with not only professional organization of the event but also with plenty of special shows, previews, workshops and exhibitions. Worthy of notice was the International Exhibition of Footwear- International Shoe Exhibition 'Step by Step'. This exhibition will have been available until 4 April. You can see there the unique and award- winning works of Polish and foreign designers.

The guests of the Cracow Fashion Week were: Krystyna Mazurówna, Łukasz Jemioł, Wojciech Bednarz, Jerzy Antkowiak, Karolina Pięch (designer in Balenciaga team), Lidia Popiel, Michael Zaczyński, Harel, Marzena Kułaj- Groń, Tobiasz Kujawa, Małgorzata Sobiczewska, Carol Morgan (Central Saint Martins, London), Liza Snook (Virtual Shoe Museum, Netherlands), Connie Vaever (TEKO, Denmark), Ilona Kanclerz, Jerzy Osika, Agata Mayer.

This year, the organizers of the Cracow Fashion Week were: Cracow School of Art, School of Art and Fashion Design, which in this year celebrates its 20th anniversary, REKLAMEX - Fashion Promotion Agency and the Polish Foundation of Fashion and the Arts.
